FREE! Native Plants Workshop September 18th from 9am-1pm

The District is partnering with Birch Bay Watershed and Aquatic Resource Management (BBWARM) and hosting a Native Plants Workshop on September 18th from 9am to 1pm at the District Office and demonstration garden.  Master gardeners from Washington State University Extension office will guide participants through a hands-on workshop about native plant identification, proper planting techniques, watershed friendly yard care and alternatives to turf landscapes.

**A Whatcom Water Week Sponsored Event**

Come Celebrate World Water Day on March 21st!

The City of Bellingham is hosting its 2nd Annual Walk for Water on March 21st at the Fairhaven Village Green in celebration of World Water Day.  Participants will walk 2.3 miles along the South Bay Trail in Bellingham to raise awareness and learn more about local and global water quality and conservation issues.  Events will be held at the Depot Market Square from 11am - 1pm following the walk.  More event details can be found HERE!
